Where / when1 Nov 00:22 UTC (02:22 EET local), NOAA-21: three pixels up to 6.1 MW at 32.790 N, 12.695 E, on the north edge of the coastal tank farm west of the Zawiya refinery.
WhyThe same spot gave night heat on four nights between 11 Aug and 11 Sep (RWI-HC-003) and is not where the refinery flares. The Sentinel-2 picture of 20 Oct now shows what is there: storage tanks and plant on the shore. The depot burned after the August drone attacks; nothing reported for 31 Oct–1 Nov.
Would settle itNOC / Zawiya Oil Refining Company: any flaring, fire or incident at the coastal tank farm on the night of 31 Oct–1 Nov; local reporting.
- RWI-SITREP-025-L2El Obeid, North Kordofan: a daytime heat pixel inside the city
Where / when1 Nov 11:34 UTC (13:34 CAT local), one VIIRS pixel of 3.0 MW at 13.201 N, 30.238 E, a dense residential block in the north-east of the city beside a walled compound.
WhyEl Obeid is under repeated RSF drone attack (NRC, MSF, Dabanga, 2026). A single pixel at midday can be a strike, a house fire or burning rubbish; nothing in the reporting we checked for 1 Nov places an incident there.
Would settle itLocal monitors (Sudan Doctors Network, Emergency Lawyers), Dabanga / Radio Tamazuj on any strike or fire in north-east El Obeid on 1 Nov.
Summary
Closes the gap after SITREP 020 (GPT SITREPs 021–024 withdrawn). No new imagery leads: the largest change scores are snow, sea ice, harvest and autumn leaves. Heat: the West Zawiya tank farm again and one pixel inside El Obeid. The Meaford alert is a farm fire at the edge of our box, not the training area. Gagetown quiet. First report under the time standard: UTC with local time beside it.
